The Springfield Armory Hellion is a semi-automatic bullpup rifle chambered for 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington. Its 20-inch hammer-forged barrel uses a 1:7 twist rate and is fitted with a four-prong flash hider and bayonet lug. The bullpup layout keeps the rifle compact while preserving the performance advantages of a full-length barrel. A short-stroke gas piston system, ambidextrous safety, ambidextrous charging handle, and reversible ejection system provide adaptable operation for a wide range of users. The rifle includes a five-position adjustable stock with cheek riser, BCM MOD 3 grip, reversible M-LOK handguard, and front and rear flip-up sights.
