The FN M249S PARA is a civilian semi-automatic rifle modeled after the PARA configuration of the M249 light machine gun. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, it uses a gas-operated, belt-fed system and also accepts compatible 30-round magazines. The shortened 16.1-inch barrel and adjustable synthetic stock provide a compact configuration, while the full-length Picatinny rail accommodates a wide range of optics and accessories.
