The FN 509 Midsize Tactical is a red dot-ready, suppressor-ready 9mm pistol designed for defensive use and high-round-count training. Its cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel measures 4.5 inches and features a recessed target crown with 1/2x28 threading. The FN Low-Profile Optics-Mounting System supports a broad selection of red dot sights, while suppressor-height 3-dot night sights provide a visible aiming reference with or without a mounted suppressor. Fully ambidextrous controls, improved front and rear cocking serrations, a flat-faced trigger, external extractor, loaded chamber indicator, and MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail add practical capability. The pistol includes 15+1 and 24+1 magazines, a case, locking device, and owner's manual.
