The FN 509 Midsize Tactical is a versatile 9mm semi-automatic pistol designed for concealed carry, home defense, duty use, and training. Its midsize frame provides a full-hand grip and a balanced configuration for fast sight acquisition and controlled follow-up shots. The pistol features a cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel measuring 4.5 inches, a recessed target crown, polished chamber and feed ramp, and a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle with an O-ring retention cap. Suppressor-height 3-dot night sights and FN’s Low-Profile Optics-Mounting System support rapid aiming with or without a mounted red dot. A textured polymer grip frame, interchangeable backstraps, fully ambidextrous controls, and a MIL-STD-1913 rail add practical adaptability. The package includes one 15-round magazine, one 24-round magazine, interchangeable backstraps, a locking device, owner’s manual, and an FN soft pistol case.
