The FN 509 is a durable striker-fired 9mm pistol developed from the FNS Compact architecture to meet demanding military handgun performance requirements. Its cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel, polished chamber and feed ramp, recessed target crown, and enhanced grip texture support reliable operation and controllable follow-up shots. The pistol features fixed 3-dot luminescent sights, front and rear cocking serrations, an external extractor, a loaded chamber indicator, and fully ambidextrous slide-stop and magazine-release controls. Interchangeable backstraps and a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail allow the grip and accessories to be configured for individual use. This non-manual-safety model includes two 10-round magazines.
