If you’re putting meat in the freezer in Alaska, you need a rifle you can depend on. The Winchester XPR Extreme Hunter in .350 Legend is a straightforward, rugged bolt-action designed for hunting. We see a lot of guys using .350 Legend for deer and black bear, and it’s certainly capable on larger game like moose when you’re confident in your shot placement.
Built for Alaska Hunting
This isn’t a safe queen. The XPR Extreme Hunter features a Tungsten Cerakote finish on both the barrel and receiver, adding a layer of corrosion resistance that holds up to Alaska’s challenging weather. The TrueTimber Midnight camo pattern blends well in a variety of forested environments we have here. The 22-inch button-rifled barrel is accurate and durable, and the threaded muzzle (9/16 x 24) gives you the option to add a suppressor or muzzle device.

Practical Design
Winchester included a few features that make this rifle easier to use in the field. The bolt unlock button is helpful for quick follow-up shots or unloading a chambered round. The M.O.A. trigger system is adjustable for a crisp, clean pull. Sling swivel studs are included for attaching a sling, important when you’re covering ground.
Home Defense & Range Use
While primarily a hunting rifle, the XPR Extreme Hunter will work for home defense if you’re located outside of city limits and prefer a rifle over a shotgun. It’s also a capable rifle for practice at the range. The .350 Legend cartridge is relatively flat-shooting and has manageable recoil for most shooters. Just remember to check local regulations regarding magazine capacity.
